Hotel Marburger Hof
If you want to discover fairy tales, then take a holiday in the university town of Marburg or its surrounding countryside. The Brothers Grimm were greatly impressed by the mediaeval flair of Marburg with its old half-timbered houses, narrow alleyways, steep stairways, romantic market place and the imposing Landgrave Castle. During their years of study there between 1802 and 1806, this enchanting setting inspired Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm in compiling their famous collection of Tales of Children and the Home.
The Hotel Marburger Hof is located between the main rail station and the old town, directly near the famous Elisabeth Church. From here it is a five-minute walk to the famous crooked, hunch-backed, steeply winding Marburg upper town. The hotel accommodates a wonderful restaurant with a Spanish flair. In addition, it has a large number of diverse room categories, ranging from simple and functional economy rooms ("Plus"), to modern furnished standard rooms, up to comfortable and spacious luxury suites.
