In this guided tour, at every turn you encounter historical testimony that confirms that Kassel has always been a city of art and culture – and still is. The brothers Jacob und Wilhelm Grimm collected their famous fairy tales here. Arnold Bode created the probably largest and internationally most heeded exhibition of contemporary art: the documenta.

Come with us and follow the tracks of the Brothers Grimm, marvel at the impressive documenta outdoor works from preceding exhibitions, and learn about the eventful history that has shaped our city on this guided tour.
